I awoke to the screams of a bobcat. The new moon left the desert pitch black. The Milky Way lit up the sky above. A bobcat. I couldn’t see it - only hear its terrifying vocals.

It is believed that crossing paths with a bobcat brings a spiritual message: pay close attention to the details of your life, trust in your intuition, and cultivate your independence with courage, power, and wisdom.

The life I was creating for years had been recently shattered. It was time to put it back together, and those frightening sounds of the bobcat screaming at me were a reminder of how to move forward. This time with a newfound sense of self. The beginning of this new chapter in my life started in Alabama Hills.
